Some weddings just feel different, in the best way. Bailey and Nick’s wedding at The Ashton Depot was one of those days where creativity, intention, and heart were woven into every single detail. From handmade florals to custom-designed guest favors, this day felt deeply personal and refreshingly original! Exactly what they had hoped for when they told me they wanted wedding photos that didn’t look like everyone else’s.
Bailey is an art teacher and Nick is an artist too, and that creative energy showed up everywhere. This wasn’t a wedding built around trends or expectations. It was built around them. Photographing their full wedding weekend was such a gift, and getting to spend time with their people before the wedding day made everything feel even more relaxed and meaningful.
P.S. If you’re on the lookout for a Dallas/Fort Worth wedding photographer to document your wedding day—on digital and film—I’d love to chat!

The Ashton Depot in Fort Worth is such a stunning backdrop for couples who love character and texture. Between the greenery, brick, and natural light, it offers so much visual interest while still letting personal details shine. It was especially perfect for Bailey and Nick because the venue didn’t overpower their creativity, it supported it. Their art, their people, and their moments were always the focus, with the space quietly elevating everything around it!
This wedding was literally a dream for anyone who loves thoughtful details! Bailey handmade the flower centerpieces herself (still not over these). Nick designed and handcrafted leather coasters for their guests, incorporating both of their last names into the design since they weren’t changing names. It was such a meaningful way to honor who they are as individuals and as a couple and a reminder that wedding details can be both practical and deeply personal. These are the kinds of details that make a wedding feel timeless because they’re rooted in the couple, not trends.

As much as I love beautiful details, it’s often the quiet, in-between moments that end up meaning the most. The ones that aren’t planned or posed, but happen naturally when there’s room to slow down.
One of my favorite images from Bailey and Nick’s day is Bailey’s dad holding her dress after family photos, framed by soft greenery in the background. Nothing big was happening. No one was watching. And yet, it says everything. Moments like that are a reminder that some of the most powerful photos come when you’re not trying to make something happen.
Another favorite moment was Bailey’s mom taking a bite of cake while her grandma laughs beside her. Completely unposed. Those moments don’t show up on timelines, but they live on in photos forever. Building breathing room into your wedding day allows these honest moments to unfold naturally instead of being rushed past. Even a few extra minutes between events can make a huge difference.

Bailey and Nick chose to have a private last dance, which I will always encourage. It’s such a grounding way to end the day, just the two of you, soaking everything in before it’s over. Adding one intentional pause to your timeline like a private last dance or a quiet moment after the ceremony creates space to reconnect and be fully present together!
Bailey specifically asked for a photo of her and her dad walking away from the camera. They have so many images like that from over the years, and she wanted to continue that tradition. We also recreated a photo of Bailey from 2022, catching the bouquet at this exact venue — a full-circle moment that made the day feel even more personal!
Share the relationships, traditions, or moments that matter most to you with your photographer! Even if they seem small. Those personal requests often times lead to the images you’ll treasure the longest.
At the end of the day, the photos that last aren’t always the most dramatic ones. They’re the quiet, familiar moments, the ones that feel honest and deeply personal. Making space for those is something I care deeply about with every wedding I photograph.

“I really liked Hannah’s style. You can tell she has an eye for composition and I could see the life behind the photo if that makes sense. Her work has an authenticity that I really wanted! She was also very calming to work with (a very gentle demeanor). She did a great job of capturing all the little moments that made the day special. We got to see photos that we didn’t expect to see! We absolutely loved working with Hannah. Her artistic eye, demeanor, problem solving skills, all of it! I love that our photos feel timeless, she’s worth every penny <3”

If you’re planning a wedding at The Ashton Depot and want photos that feel artistic, personal, and rooted in real moments, I’d truly love to connect! Bailey and Nick’s wedding is a perfect example of how meaningful a day can be when creativity leads and there’s space to slow down and be present.
I photograph weddings on both digital and film, creating intentional, timeless images that are meant to be held, revisited, and passed down. With a calm, empathetic approach, I focus on the quiet in-between moments just as much as the big ones — documenting your story with care, artistry, and heart!
