Krista and Jack’s Colorado wedding at Silverthorne Pavilion felt extra special from the very start. I had the chance to photograph them months before they were even engaged during a session in Rocky Mountain National Park. Getting to travel back to the mountains and document their wedding day felt like such a full-circle moment. Silverthorne, Colorado slows everything down with crisp mountain air and the prettiest views, making it so easy to stay present and fully soak in the moment.

Their wedding day was thoughtfully planned, and Krista knew from the beginning how important it was to have mountain photos woven into the experience. She got ready with her bridesmaids in a calm, joy-filled space, wearing a stunning gown from Bridal Boutique. I Do Beauty Boutique did hair and makeup for her and her bridesmaids, adding to the relaxed, pampered energy of the morning! Afterward, we drove to the mountains and Krista and Jack shared a first look — one of the most emotional moments of the day.

That’s when we did their mountain portraits! Even with a tighter timeline and a venue location that didn’t naturally offer those views, we made it happen — hiking boots on and all. Those moments ended up being some of my favorites from the day. I also photographed parts of their day on film, which is almost always a couple favorite. There’s something about film that feels timeless and honest, and Krista and Jack’s images were no exception.

A Colorado Wedding Filled with Joy and Intention

After portraits, they moved into their ceremony, which was so heartfelt and focused on what mattered most to them. Surrounded by their closest people, Krista and Jack shared their vows before moving into wedding party photos and more newlywed portraits, then heading into the reception. Candlelight, warm details and florals from Artemis Flower Farm filled the reception space, completely transforming the room and matching the cozy, intimate feel of the evening. The rest of the night felt relaxed and full of pure joy! Exactly the kind of celebration that reflects Krista and Jack so well. What I loved most about working with them, both during their engagement session and their wedding day, was how effortless everything felt. It was all about being present, letting the day unfold naturally, and keeping the energy light. That joy and presence translated so seamlessly into their photos!
